By accessing or using the Website, purchasing or downloading Digital Products, or downloading or using any Mobile Applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

- “Mobile Applications” refers to any mobile software applications developed and distributed by Halfborg, including but not limited to RUSA Scanner: PDF Converter.
- “Services” refers collectively to the Website, Digital Products, and Mobile Applications.
2. License
- For Digital Products: Upon purchase or authorized download of a Digital Product, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that specific Digital Product for its intended purpose, typically on a single website, project, or personal use, as specified in the product description.
- For Mobile Applications: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Mobile Applications for your personal, non-commercial use on a single mobile device owned or controlled by you, strictly in accordance with these Terms.
- General License Restrictions (Applicable to all Services): You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of any Digital Product or Mobile Application, unless laws prohibit these restrictions or you have our explicit written permission. You may not use any Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Intellectual Property: All rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property rights to the Website, Digital Products, and Mobile Applications, remain with Halfborg.
3. Functionality of Services
- Digital Products: The functionality of Digital Products is described on their respective sales or download pages. It is your responsibility to review these descriptions to ensure compatibility with your intended use.
- Mobile Applications: Mobile Applications are designed to provide specific functionalities as described in their app store listings. For example, the RUSA Scanner: PDF Converter app allows you to convert physical documents into digital PDF files using your device’s camera. All document processing for RUSA Scanner occurs locally on your device, and we do not store your scanned documents on our servers.
4. Monetization and Advertising (Mobile Applications)
Mobile Applications provided by Halfborg may be offered free of charge and may be supported by advertising or offer in-app purchases.
- Advertising: Where advertisements are present (e.g., in the RUSA Scanner app via Google AdMob), by using the Mobile Application, you acknowledge and agree that advertisements may be displayed. These ads may be personalized or non-personalized. For detailed information on data collection and use for advertising, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
- In-App Purchases: Some Mobile Applications may offer in-app purchases. All purchases are final, and terms related to such purchases will be governed by the app store’s (e.g., Google Play Store) terms and conditions.
5. Support and Updates
- For Digital Products: Support and updates for purchased Digital Products are typically provided for a limited duration, often 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified. Specific terms for support and updates will be detailed on the product’s sales page.
- For Mobile Applications: We do not guarantee specific support or update schedules for free Mobile Applications. Updates may be released periodically to improve functionality, address bugs, or maintain compatibility.
6. Refunds
Refunds are generally only available for purchased Digital Products under specific circumstances, as outlined below. Free Mobile Applications are not eligible for refunds as no purchase is required for their use.
- Eligibility for Refund (for Digital Products): Refunds are available if a purchased Digital Product does not perform as described, or to your reasonable satisfaction, and you have contacted us within 30 days of purchase to allow us to resolve the issue. Refund requests must be accompanied by a description of the problem, including any relevant error messages or logs.
- Non-Refundable Cases (for Digital Products): Refunds are generally not available due to compatibility issues with third-party tools, customizations, or user-specific configurations that are not explicitly supported. It is your responsibility to review the Product documentation to ensure compatibility before purchase.
7. User Conduct and Prohibited Uses (Applicable to all Services)
You agree not to use the Website, Digital Products, or Mobile Applications for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. You may not use any Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of the Service.

- Functionality: While we strive to maintain compatibility with the latest versions of related platforms, operating systems, and software, we do not guarantee that the Services will operate with all versions or configurations.
- Third-Party Compatibility: We are not responsible for compatibility issues with third-party software, custom code, or unique configurations not directly provided by Halfborg.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Halfborg Software shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Services; (c) any content obtained from the Services; or (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
